SHARON VAN ETTEN “We Are Fine (ft. Zach Condon)”

Drip, drip, drip.

Sharon Van Etten’s new album Tramp has leaked…and it’s simply gorgeous. Sharon’s expanded her sound with some lusher arrangements and occasional atmospheric soundscapes that build upon the ever-present backbone of her voice and guitar.

It’s definitely more highly-produced than anything she’s released to date.

ROSS’ TOP 40 ALBUMS OF 2010

#32
SHARON VAN ETTEN Epic
Featured Song: “Don’t Do It”

Sharon Van Etten has a pretty compelling voice. It’s filled with pain and quiet strength.

Ironically, Epic isn’t exactly epic. There are only 7 songs on the album.

I’d love to give it a higher ranking, but there just aren’t enough songs to put it up there. Still, it’s a strong album that more people should hear.

SHARON VAN ETTEN “One Day”

I first heard of Sharon Van Etten during SxSW this year, but haven’t listened to her until I stumbled upon her new EP called Epic.

There are several good songs on it and I hope to check out some of her old stuff, too.
